  1. Ludhiana used to be a automobile hub. Back in the 90s everyone thought it would become the Chakan or Chennai of the North. All of them moved to Haryana instead. Punjab university used to be the place to do really good R&D but today is hard to get a degree issued by Punjab university recognized by other universities. Punjab has come a long way to the bottom from there.
