  1. Wait, it’s the first time A Govt in power recognized the indentured Indians who were shipped away by the British. Every other govt treated them as pariah and ignored them. GoI should apologize for ignoring them and excluding them from being Indian. Some humility goes a long way.

  2.  @anshul9462  official recognition of indentured Indians is more recent. ABV only started the program, at that time it was simply just “Indians” with none of the acknowledgment that they went through suffering as well.
