They are 17-21 years of age. They have an entire life ahead of them. Stop treating them as near retirees. You can't be so entitled at 17.

Technical skills. Army has a lot of vehicles like tanks that need mechanics. They do construction and engineering (like Bridges). There's a whole set of non combat roles that are more hands on that would translate well into manufacturing m

This should be honored. But nothing more

@SAM-yj5io no army has their own corp of engineers. They have their own certification and graduation. They are generally more competent than your civil engineers. They usually work with BRO as well. In the US, they use their Army Corp of engineers to build dams, canals etc. Those engineers are also hired by civil engineering firms. It's not just that, your construction machinery needs technical skills. Drivers and operators who understand the dynamics of those machines. Army has technical training institutes that are open to non officers/Jawans. Also we need to other at sports. Almost 50% of Olympic medals winners and our contingent comes from the Armed forces. They might want to serve after 4 years but they will trained pretty well to compete in sports.

@StarSprangledBanner are you that dumb that you can't learn skills at such a young age? Who the hell are you kidding man. Ask every urban salary man person, they have to keep themselves updated all the time.

@thisoverpcworld kuch bhi. You get 12 lakhs on your hands. Hands on training (it could be from tinkering around with vehicles, building bridges, planning, logistics etc.) from the army, are you that dumb that you can't think of a path forward? If you can't then 1. You are a disappointment 2. You are useless anyway 3. You deserve poor jobs You can't be this unmotivated and expect people to just give you things.

@abhaypatel4292 they are stifled by socialism, regulations and bad State govts.

@tanmay_basak we all do. And we all prepare for it. Competition is there for everyone.

Are you saying after 4 years and 12 lakhs you can't figure out what to do? Are you that dumb that you can't learn a new skill? It's such an insult to hard working people who learn new things, try new jobs, compete, pay taxes etc

@manomano2524 you are 24 and if you can't figure the path forward by yourself, you are destroying your own career. No one is going to give you handouts at that age. Please grow up.

@PK-tt5kk So do we. We all worked hard and put in long hours. I worked at a BPO for 9 hours 3 days a week while studying for another 8 hours for brutal exams. I have come a long way from those days.
