  2. The Void in our history exists because Indian Historians of the recent past only regurgitated Colonial and Marxist nonsense coming from the Bowels of JNU's History dept. So if an outside (western and soviet) historian wants to learn more about Indian history, the only way to do so is by visiting India and Govt of the day made it impossible to get Visas. There was never really any effort to do real historiography only narrative building. This mentality exists even today, up until recently Irfan Habib vehemently denied the exists of Ram Mandir, JNU scholars vehemently insisted on Aryan invasion theory, Romila Thapar vehemently insisted on the benevolence of Islamic conquest of India. Reading Western historiography (even Soviet historiography) of India from that time period hits you like a whiplash and makes you realize that they have moved on, never gave 2 cents to Indian scholars because Indian scholars were playing politics rather than advancing our understanding of history.
