We should invite the Bangladeshi Finance Minster to give a lecture on fiscal management to Punjab and PSU Bank babus. Bangladesh is in good hands. They will come out of this crisis stronger.

@rutvikrs I dunno about that but a Bangladeshi FM lecturing about fiscal policy would definitely generate short term outrage amongst our Lutyens intelligentsia just like the proposed Electricity (Amendment) Bill.

@sankalp6872 most people dislike Nirmala Sitharaman because she is a woman. Any investor who objectively looks at her policies will tell you she is a pretty decent finance minister. She hasn't reigned in some of the excess regulations of the Finance ministry but she has managed to consolidate a LOT of them. Besides, UPI wouldn't be a thing if the Finance Ministry didn't support it. It would have died a LONG time ago just like every other program under Congress govts.

@omkumar185 internal debt is debt denominated in local currency. Debt denominated in local currency can easily be written off unlike dollar or yuan denominated debt. Basically, you can force a write off for a loan lent by a family member, however you can't do the same thing if the loan comes from outside the family.
