I think people should admit lockdown was a desperate measure at a desperate time. Had that not happened we would have been dealing with the Delta variant much much earlier rather than now, after vaccines are out. Here's the thing though, we also ought to acknowledge the human tragedy of the migrant crisis. But you can't simply wallow in that sorrow forever. We need to move ahead and grow faster.

@mrgyani a reply to your comment requires a full cut the clutter episode. But then again your blind partisanship makes that a wasted effort. You mixed Centre-State relations, executive actions, religion, social dynamic and inaction by an independent body for a constitutionally mandated election in a binary issue. Wah. Maybe try and try to see the complexity and nuances next time.

Poor policy making is a result of decades of neglect in basic governance. At some point in time, it will come back to bite us, the pandemic did exactly that and pretty well.
