  1. I think we need a long form series that discusses UCC in detail. The issue is this goes beyond just equal laws for all or bringing Sharia law in line with the constitution. UCC touches something more fundamental than enforcing constitutional principles. What is secularism? How do you accommodate pluralism while enforcing UCC? How would UCC recognize matriarchal social norms (Malayalis are pretty matriarchal)? How should UCC handle tribal social norms? What about Nilgiri tribes that engages in polyandry (Draupadi marriages)? We should be thinking carefully about them. We can't just hand wave it with a 5 mins video on UCC. It deserves more attention.
