  1. It's a double whammy, it might hit consumer consumption in the latter half of the year and the wheat ban makes India a less credible and reliable partner not only with our immediate neighbors but also with potential allies and partners.

  2.  @ThePrintIndia  here is another whammy, India is the only market where the consumer pays high food prices, the farmers gets paid the lowest prices for their produce. It just shows how dysfunctional our food markets are. Price of production has very little correlation with the sale price of food products.

  3. Shekharji, if you are up for it, maybe witte about the wheat ban for this week's National interest but also make references to the SC committee report on farm laws. If we want our farmers to become prosperous then we should advocate for it.

  4. India's productivity is pretty good but India's logistics is abysmal. We pay close to 50% of the price because of bad logistics - primarily terrible storage. We lose about 20-25% of produce during storage (we should be aiming for < 2%). Our transportation is pretty bad as well. We struggle extensively at last mile delivery and storage.
