  1. There are a LOT of bad hot takes in the comments here. "ONOE is unconstitutional" - Oi, we used to have ONOE in the 60s. It worked pretty effectively, until Congress Govts abused President's rule and made it unworkable. "ONOE is autocratic" - Oi, voters have their own agency. Learn to respect that. In every election, Orissa/Odissa proves you wrong. Split voting is a thing in India. "Elections are safety valve" - No they are not. They are quite inconvenient when especially when it this frequently. I can't see my road fixed while Model Code of Conduct is enforced. "BJP treats Local Elections as National ones" - Oi, if you are against that they you would want less of that. ONOE puts limits on that. Some idiot quotes Western thinkers. - Oi, Westerns thinkers are not going to solve any of India's problem. They have been creating more problems for India than solving them. Man, ONOE becomes a potential catch phrase and everyone goes crazy. We don't know how ONOE is going to be structured, we are not even sure if ONOE would become the talking point in Special session of Parliament. But Hot takes need to come out hot and unbaked. So here we are. Comment on a policy before it even takes shape.
