I think you would be interested in watching a movie about it that Russia had recently released. I found it absolutely fascinating and exciting to watch. One of the highlights that I remember, is that there was an interview with Bogdan that said that he had experienced strobing like effect during those prolonged 9Gs maneuvers at that airshow. As if the image inside his brain refreshes like once per second during it(normal people/ untrained pilots would pass out long before that point)... Mad respect for that guy.

There's his interview in the most recent "Combat approved" episode about this airshow. He humbly said that he doesn't take all that praise personally he attributes it all to the craft itself. Su 57 is an absolute beast.

That's the annoying part is that people start comparing different planes which are not even produced like the F22, it's been official now that it would cost too expensive renewing it's production pretty much the same price as building a new 6th gen plane. So there's no real point discussing it. The only 5th gen fighter planes are 1 F35 (USA), 2 Su 57 ( Russia), 3 China ( J20)

@barefootbreezy6983 1 nobody said that it wasn't 5h gen. I said that it's impossible to produce it now, therefore there's no point comparing it, because it's a out of date product. You can only compare 5th gen planes which are currently being produced. 6th gen is not being tested yet. When they do, everyone would know about it.

For the things that he covers, he's about about maximum views that he can get... There's only a certain amount of people who look for certain amount of stuff. That's why general buzz stuff about everyone, hype and etc gets more views in general, because it catches the most amount of audience. This particular channel focuses on the jet fighters... Which is a cool theme in itself which attracts some audience, but not gonna attract as much as the ones I've described above.

More than that. I wish there would just be an open world. Where we would get tank olympics of different nations, jet olympics etc etc etc. It would be so entertaining to watch and would bring so much revenue, as well as bring people closer... One can only wish... that one day we will look past our differences and concentrate on what brings us together.

The F22 is better because it was first (and there was no match for him until 2020) and also it has better stealth. The Su57M is better in everything else.

@yulfine1688 360 augmented view through the cockpit (same on Su57) not radars. It doesn't have as good radars as the SU57 has. It's low RCS has been proven in real life combat already. No other craft like F22 or F35 is flying in and out of combat on a daily basis like the Su57. As far as it's concerned it's an invincible plane.

@ImpendingJoker "intercepting" is not it's role though. That doesn't mean anything. The Su57 is flying actively in the combat zone, at least 40 km into the enemy lines and we have a video proof of that. On a daily basis. There's nothing that even comes close for the US.

I wish they would do that too. Although I did watch an MiG31 pilot interview. He said that he had done it before on his MiG 31, but he could literally watch his fuel tank fuel consumption go up manyfolds like each second by 1 percent or something ridiculous like that, as it would obviously be hyper intensive to go up as a rocket for any craft, but I do wonder on those modern crafts if they could do it too... and do want to see it too, go up like a rocket...

@aquilesca5tr0 ehh that's not actually true. Have you tried comparing the weights? It's dry weight is less than those older outdated engines.

There's only one main radar at the front. But yeah. Those other radars scattered around it fuselage. Able to detect and track and EW in 360. No other plane even comes close.

I think it moreso was to show off it's stability. i. e. it is 100% controllable in all of the flight modes.

Властелины неба Документальный фильм к 85-летию ОКБ Сухого и ОКБ МиГ.15 декабря 2024 " You can watch it with English subtitles (auto generated). At around 2 minute 40 seconds mark into the video he says that " at an extremely low altitude 9Gs maneuvers which lasts for around 20 seconds" he had experienced that. He is 62 yo btw. They talk about the Su57 in general in that movie, it's characteristics and a new flat nozzle etc. edit: I found a better version in English dub called "Lords of the Sky Documentary on Sukhoi and the MiG Design Bureau - English translation" here on yt.

It's been confirmed already China is one of the pruchasers of those planes. And there's a long queue on it already.

@LordHusky01 Quite the opposite, highly likely that IT WOULD be interested. And it 100% is. All of the modern Chinese crafts came from the Russian planes and engines. It only makes sense, to get the latest one from Russia to try and adapt them later with their crafts. Also it is superior to anything that China has. And having a small portion of those crafts, would not change the Chinese backbone fleet composition of the J20 but would only make it stronger in the end.

@LordHusky01 1. They are through and through all Russian engineering crafts. And those Chinese made engines are also based on it's Russian counter parts. Russia was responsible for PLAAF airforce taking off in the first place and still is to this point (Russia actually created modern China, or Stalin to be precise. Stalin was responsible for creating modern day China). J35 is also internally based on the Russian design crafts. (Externally it does look like the F35 but only externally). 2. Yes it is. It literally all came from Russia, Russia has much better versions of those crafts and engines (and to be honest I don't even know all of the versions and derivatives myself there are too many of them, as for example there are 5 different series/generations of the AL31 engine, and each series has it's own derivatives on it's own... for different programs and variants... let alone all of the other engines, and it's derivatives) . Also it is a constant struggle between revealing too much and letting them steal too much of the Russian tech or not. Like they did with their previous Su contracts, canceling them midway, because they copied enough to start off their own unlicensed production of those crafts... As to why buying it from Russia when you can just copy it and produce them yourself... That's what China did and what is trying to be doing to this day. But again, Russia has better crafts in the first place as that is where it all came from to begin with. So they can't really catch up to it. Except obviously in numbers. 3. As a 5th gen craft they are full on compatible with modern tech. Also again, it is literally based on the Russian school of aviation, all so familiar to the Chinese, so it will be no problem dealing and servicing them. That's the entire point in this. 4. As it stands, there are only 2 modern fighter jet nations in the world - 2 schools of aviation. Western one (represented by the US), and Russian. There are no alternatives. That's the reality. Same thing with tanks too. The whole world has only 2 schools - represented by the Russian caliber 125mm barrel gun, and the western one (the US) represented by 120mm. Two worlds of military school of thought and construction. And unfortunately to this day alot of the people don't realize that basic fact. And especially trying to downplay RF achievements and it's scientific and engineering schools... and EVERY SINGLE TIME getting caught by a "surprise" (with example of "Oreshnik", just one of them), which is absolutely baffling to me... Every single time...
