It MeAnS iT's a BaD aIrCrAfT...) 20 - 30 were produce and are still being produced in low numbers series as we speak for the Russian AF. There's no reason to produce them in high numbers since better engine is coming in a few years. That's when it would be reasonable to produce them in hundreds... Su 75 is the same reason, it's going to be produced when the new engine "izdeliye 30" gets online. It's the next gen engine for both aircraft which is coming in a few that's when those aircrafts are coming. Su 57 (with old egines) has been tested in Syria and in Ukraine. Both times worked out superbly ,unlike F117 over Belgrade. Rest of your message is just as silly and stuрid.

What are you guys talking about? both of the aircrafts exist, and both are being flown by manned crew daily. The only difference is that F22 is no longer being produced, and Su 57 is still in production.

@gambrazzio6989 How do you define "a usable fighter jet"? For me , it is more important than you can produce the jet (Su 57) instead of the one that's on it's death bed. Whatever loss of the F22 you have is going to be forever. Because you can't rebuild it. And Su57 is being continuously built as we speak. Crew flight hours are not as important as you trying to suggest. The Su 57 crew already had hundreds of flight hours training. And has flown and tested it in a few conflicts. Yes technically F22 has more combat experience, but just having more combat hours doesn't define a good plane. I will reiterate having something that is alive and being continuously built is better than something that is dead, and is never going to be built in history again.

You can't even fathom a simple fact that gdp has got nothing to do with it. us military budget is 20 times more yet it doesnt mean that its 20 times better russias, its second place compare to usa, yet better than china despite having lower gdp. just having a higher gdp doesn't mean sh. (most of it is inflated) if your cost effectiveness with it is several times less than russia. same class submarine costs 5 times more, tanks, planes, ac carriers 3 times more etc. yet with all that money and budget you can't even build a hypersonic weapon and russia already has deployed it and used it. this talk is pointless because your mind has deteriorated because of the western pr...paganda. in a few years 2030. you will see. don't write me back before that or you'll get muted.

@Ticnsndbfbfbd Yeah... except that's not what I'm saying . That's what your congress is saying... You could have at least looked up for the information online , it's not like I made up something out of thin air you know? It would cost $50 bil to relaunch the program. And I'm not doubting for one moment that they still have those schematics for F22 and especially are able to maintain and service them in the meantime. The question is of renewing it's production. Which is impractical and hence impossible for the US. They could do it in theory but not in practice. Brandon Buckles you are so full of s. that you must be an American... (no offence).

@nightprince8641 Ehh, the amount of cluelessness in your message just screams that you are an American (no offence). Your every other sentence is wrong. And I don't know if I have time or even should respond to you tbh. Firstly what you've said about technical stuff is mostly common sense, you are assuming that other people are like an average clueless American (which they are not). It is common sense that you need experienced pilots to fly those planes. And there have been extensive training with hundreds of pilots over the years, both in training simulator courses and on the real planes. Secondly it has been deployed in 2 Russian spec. op. campaigns, 1) in Syria and now 2) in Ukraine. Thirdly, with planes, unlike your typical ground vehicle stuff ,which is hard to set everything logistically for maintenance, repair and etc, those planes can fly straight from the Russian original deployment bases located on it's territory straight to the conflict zone. So there's absolutely no trouble or problems to use them in Ukraine, where they are being used now, with superb performance and effectiveness. Also with vectoring thrust , you are wrong again. Russia has had Yak 38 (Як 38) in 1970 with vectoring thrust long before the US did (In fact US just stole it from Russia). Also nobody has had a real "3D" vectoring thrust ever before and neither does Su 57 atm(except on a few prototypes). It's new (one of a kind) 3D Vectoring thrust comes with a new engine - Izdeliye 30 (изделие 30) which will likely be used in a Su 57M. So it will be a different type of plane ,and as of right now, the Su 57 uses a limited vectoring thrust . You have to understand and realize that you are brewing in that western sided propаganda bubble , so you are simply not aware of other "bubbles" outside of the English speaking one. And trust me as I'm brewing in both of those "bubbles" , I can tell you that there's alot of the information that is either deliberately hidden from the western people or is just not presented to them for one or the other reason. (There's alot of the information missing in the English speaking part of the internet).

Whatever was India accessing was not the latest Su 57. Perhaps it was in the development with an old engine and an old type avionics... The real engine of Su 57 is the type 2 the so called "izdeliye 30" engine. Which is going to be ready only in a few years... So it's flying with old engines at the moment from su 35, hence why that comment was probably made. It is however when it is finished going to be the most advanced fighter jet engine in the world, and is going to be used in Su 57 (dual engine) and Su 75 (single engine). So as my guess , India just couldn't wait any longer for a new engine... but old engine is still good by the way, and is more powerful and better than Rafaels engine.... The irony is that, even with an old engine it is quite a capable aircraft and it's not bad at all. With a cost of only around 30 million dollars... Would you rather have 4 Su 57 or just 1 rafael? I think the answer is obvious and India made a mistake...

@mbaxter22 Yes I agree that in the fighter aircraft not just engines are important. However they are absolutely half of the deal of a good aircraft. The other half is ofcourse avianoics. Which is also good on Su 57. Which is better than in Rafael. Though ofcourse you will never be able to truly compare them officially so our opinions on them is truly subjective. Rest of what you've said I completely disagree. Where did you get operational costs? How is that even possible? Give me the numbers then? For all we know western aircrafts a priori are more expensive ,cost and maintenance wise. All because of the western economic war against Russia , Ruble has been severely devalued, which means all of the costs of the Russian proucts are up to 10 times cheaper compare to dollar or euro ones. That's simple economics. Russia is much more cost efficient than western companies. Simple example Russian military budget for this year , when converted to dollars is only just slightly over $30 bil vs US military budget $780 bil, yet Russia is acting more efficient than the US military ( at least not 20 times worse as the numbers would suggest... that's for sure). Same for Su 57 vs Rafael. Cost of aircraft Su 57 around USD $20 mil , Rafael around USD $120. Estimated cost of operation per flight hour Su 57 around $6k and Rafael around $17k Whenever or however you look Su 57 or it's similar project ,would have been better for India. Don't try to find reasons for India not using it in the aircraft being bad. Real reason would be of different sorts like corruption or wanting to bite off more than they can chew etc. Great example is the Tank Arjun, which is a money sink hole. And Indian government can't produce a good enough tank to replace T90s... But it will sink even more money into Arjun, just because it's an Indian tank, and not because T90 is bad .( T90 is a much better and superior tank.)

The superior jet in terms of what? Cruising around , finding targets and striking ground with AtG missiles? yes. But in terms of fighting each other, MiG 31 is superior. As it will quickly intercept the F 15, strike it , and run away. Done deal.

@heyfitzpablum It is hard to say since it's classified. But numbers built would be around 20 - 30 aircrafts. Thought they are continuously being built and are in low series production.
