The mistake wasn't stopping it in 1943 it was hardly a mistake, because there wouldn't be any reasonable negotiating positions to which the Soviet Russia would agree. The mistake was to attack Russia to begin with (something which for some reason the western Europe do not understand, and it puzzles me, their luck of understanding that). In 1941 before the invasion. It was the golden times for the mustache guy. They'd just basically divided Europe into 2 zones. The Soviet Union, and Germany, from which point it would have been 2 systems competing with each other economically, to which the German one was obviously far superior. For example, they had just created the modern fighter aviation, just started creating the first rockets for Space exploration, just had the basics for the nuclear weapons and power. All of the modern technology basically was kickstarted since the 1931 till 1941. All he has to do was to not invade Russia. And the Germany would have now been the superpower which nobody else would have been able to stop. Now, in 1941 before the invasion they were just at war with the Brits (Brits were the ones who started it), so all they had to do is sort all of their problems with the Brits together with Stalin. As judging by the Molotov Pact, they were not against negotiations, and they could have just dealt with it together. After which the time of prosperity for Germany would have began... and all he had to do for that was not to invade Russia, like many had tried before him.
