I must say that the amount of brigades and battalions in Bakhmut from the Ukranian side has increased drastically , you can see it on the map itself, I've counted at around 50 units of those at the Bakhmut area. Their exact size is controversial, but if there were a thousand troops in each one of those , then that would be 50k from the Ukranian side... What a meat grinder that Bakhmut is....

  2. There's down sides and up sides to that. But honestly I don't see a problem with that , if that was said by the Wagner towards the Bakhmut regiments. As POWs are always hard to maintain and take care of, and ultimately it slows down your pushing speed drastically. Second point is that by leveling everything up like the US did in Mosul and Raqqa. By saying that you don't take any prisoners then you are basically allowing yourself to level everything up in the remainder of the city... And there will be no questions raised seeing that you didn't get any prisoners from your usual average of 10% - 20 % at the current rate.

  3. I think it has been recently disproven that they took anything there. It is mostly just a media warfare... Where you don't have to have any wins on the battlefield, but can massively guide the media towards an illusory win, in order to bitter sweet losses of the Bakhmut city. That by the way, has also happened inside the Bakhmut itself where Ukranians claimed some territories inside the city which they had already lost. But the media made it look like they did. Only time will tell the whole picture, but as of now, don't forget that you are in the midst of the media warfare, and some information is deliberately spread to misinform you for one or the other reason.

  4. It is only for the Wagner group. Not the Russian troops themselves. Wagner is a private company that is aimed towards the toughest spots, right now it being Bakhmut, so I personally don't see a problem there, if they are the specific unit that is not taking any prisoners... Just to remind you , that the Ukranian side already had those specific battalions too like Azov, or the National battalions ( like the Georgian one) that took no prisoners too, in fact they documented their war crimes on camera... So seeing it as a response for a private company unit , only seems logical.
