  1. Why is Russia late on the 5th gen? Russia was the second nation in the world to achieve the 5th gen aircraft capability after the US. To this day there are only 3 nations in the world with the 5th gen fighter jets . 1 USA, 2 Russia, 3 China. That's it. Russia is not late, there are literally no other nations to compete with.
