  1. Of course this video is wrong, living off the hypes and dreams while saying stupid things like "countries like Europe and Asia". Just gullible American journalism at it's finest... Even if we assume that the technology and logistics and laws etc is sorted out . I'm still wondering what would be the cost of maintenance, and an actual cost of a ticket for one passenger... And I got curious enough to google it now, and so the estimated cost as I've predicted is astronomical and sits at around $100 mil per mile, again that's not even including it's maintenance... And I did some basic maths for a reasonable ride of a 1k miles the cost of a single ticket would roughly come down to 1 mil dollars per person one way to recoup the costs over 1 year period. Again that's without it's maintenance or taxes... Even if they reduce it by a factor of a 100 it still wouldn't be feasible. edit: yeah that calculation was extremely rough and it was only for 1 passenger going back and forth , so I guess if they manage to get a metro sized train with around 1k passengers then the tickets would be 1k per person. Unless they can fit several trains on one hyperloop which they haven't even tested for that yet. And assuming you have the passenger traffic of ~10-100k people p/h where 100k is pretty much the limit because people can't move any faster out of station. Then the cost of a ticket could be between 10$ - 100$. Again the traffic has to be through the roof between two large cities, and only then it could be perhaps feasible. But in reality its just another pipe dream for now, and it won't be ready in 10 years time for sure.
