  3.  @gort.3296  Please open up a map of the internationally recognized Russian borders of 1914. Those borders were recognized by every country and the Soviet Russia was acting entirely within it's borders defending it's status quo. That's a fact. The WW2 started when Germany had stepped on the status quo Russian territories. Every conflict in those borders was to be considered as a civil conflict for Russia. For example the famous Mannerheim which was fighting for Finland vs Soviet Russia was a famous Russian Empire general, which was born in the Russian empire, and had lived and studied and got qualified as the general in Saint Petersburg in the Russian empire. And he pledged the allegiance to Russia and to the Russian empire and the Emperor. That is the main general who was fighting in the winter war vs the Soviet Russia. That's by the definition is a civil war. Every conflict within the Russian Empire borders could be considered and should be considered as a civil conflict. Including the modern day u. sooner or later people will realize it.

  7. Great video. 👍 To my understanding both things happened. They were fed well at times, and at times not well, only when Russians wouldn't get enough rations themselves. The problem with prisoners is that they are your responsibility, so you have to take care of them and feed them... The question is, how do you feed an extra 100k unexpected souls which the command hadn't accounted for? It's a question of logistics. You all of a sudden need to provide food for an additional 100k army ... Say it's a 1kg of food every day per person, so it's an additional 100 tons of foods, which a Soviet truck can carry up to 2 tons, so it's an additional convoy of 20 - 40 trucks daily, that you have to arrange for the prisoners. Which is a massive headache in terms of logistics. (One thing for sure though, there wasn't any ill intent there.)

  9. Well put. I wanted to say similar thing under someone else's comment, but then realized may be I'm just digging it too deep and people wouldn't be bothered to understand me. Your education and especially your degree on a fundamental level is just your acceptance into the system, which later grants you the possibility of entering or representing a viewpoint of a certain cast or a system. With regards to the history education especially, there are too many viewpoints from different countries/systems, as historical viewpoint is directly influenced and is tailored to a particular political perspective of a certain country/system and is aimed at achieving certain political goals of a system (like Hitler's Aryanism for example). i. e. in the west Stalin is always presented as a murderer and a dictator that did all of those horrible things (at least that's what I'm always hearing from the people of a western education system, even on this channel, TIK swoops Stalin with other dictators in a single breath without giving any proofs to his claims, regarding Stalin, as if it's an "established fact") , while in Russia the view on Stalin is more neutral, and is almost on the opposite side of the political spectrum... And that's just with Stalin, not considering everything else, as your country's viewpoint on history will always be tailored and be more subjective in that particular system's favour, and be more subjective to the country that you are learning it in or want to become a part of cast or a system in.

  14. Not just history. Nothing deserves censoring. When censoring in any form starts then it essentially transfer the power to those who are the censors. Even if they have good intentions at the beginning, eventually those who seek the power would leak into the system and get control of censoring, to begin the oppression. It's inevitable. That's why censoring should stop.

Bringing your opinion to the topic of politics outside of your countries scope is called being involved in modern day politics which divides people. I've personally unsubbed from a few channels that "took the wrong side in a certain political stance". I do not understand why they'd done it, but they did. Stuff like comedians, scientific content, literature, musicians etc. Immediately unsubed as soon as they reveal that they support a certain side which I do not support. And I would have never asked, and never cared to check if they hadn't revealed who they support. I just wanted to consume their normal content that they'd produced on their channels and wanted to support their content. But I couldn't watch them anymore, because of their publicly disclosed opinion. Which AUTOMATICALLY makes you to align with their views technically, if you continue to watch their content. etc. Politics in the moment is an art of deception. To actually get a hang of it you need a certain amount of time to pass and gather enough documents and sources to evaluate anything properly, 10 - 20 years...

  19.  @ronmastrio2798  I'm speaking of modern politics not a historical one. It was impossible in the Nazi Germany to disagree that J. weren't the problem. And that is the problem of the modern day politics. It's ALL is driven by the narrative, which develops in the moment and is forced by the you know who. Only historical politics that goes further back in time, only then we can at least have a chance to glance at the truth and to digest everything etc. one side spilling the beans on the other and etc.

  25. Soviets did participate though technically. There were officially 3 fronts for Russia. The European front, the Caucasus front, and the Pacific front. All of those fronts were controlled and directed from the very beginning. They were obviously just not interested in starting it from all 3 directions. But they did keep their troops there. If they didn't then Jap would have invaded. So technical Russia did start working and thinking around Asia since 1941, which is when the whole thing started. The WW2 started with the Austrian Painter attacking Russia. Also another valid date is 1933, when the Austrian painter came to power and expelled all other power installing a dictatorship. To some extent that is when the whole thing started. Because he was describing everything he would eventually do in his book in the first place. And pretty much the whole world was aware of if... So 1933 is technically the start.

  27. I also think that's a valid point. It starts by the very definition, when "there's no return". No return point was the Austrian painter invading Russia. Also Brits declaring a war on him, which meant that he was contained and his trade was blocked. And also 1933 when he came to power, and enstated a Nazi dictatorship. 3 key points of "no return"

  28. No. It started with Britain declaring War on Germany which set the whole thing into motion. At that point the Austrian painter was pinned, and had no other choice - but to militarize and "defend himself". Britain had justified his actions. Which is why it was started, technically 3 of September. (but the negotiations started 1 week prior to it).

  33.  @Saeronor  It technically didn't cede anything it was in a state of a civil war. The civil war had started 1917 and ended in 1945. All of the territories were the Russian empire territories except for the Poland and Finland which it had granted independence to (with Poland recreating the Polish state first, and then granting them independence). Red Army was the civil war army (literally all of the revolutionary songs are about it). You can see when it changed, when Russia got it's modern (to this day) anthem, when Stalin closed down "Komintern", when the Red Army was renamed to the Soviet Union Army, when the UN was established etc etc etc. That is when the civil war had ended, by every metric that you take. Invading presumes that there was a state. And there wasn't. When Russia was moving back to the Curzon lines, Polish state practically stopped existing.

  34.  @Saeronor  It's the first thing. The one that I had repeated many times already it was at the state of a civil war since 1917 till 1945. It denied it's connection to the Russian empire - hence the continuation of a civil war for so long, and then it stopped doing that. That's when the civil war was over. With Stalin granting Finland and Poland independence. Regardless of that, Russia is claiming it's inheritance both from the Russian empire and the Soviet union. So it's status quo remains in those borders ( also retrospectively). My statement doesn't luck foundation because there was no state, when Russia had entered... There was no government it could have contacted, that would grant or allow them anything. There was no state. It was merely a territory.

  42. Though it does involve both great powers at each side even today, great powers are always involved. But it's when it hits the fan when it starts. Of a major involvement. By the end of 1941 Germany had occupied like 2 mil sq. kilometers of the Russian territory. And before that, nothing of sorts has been ever seen in Europe. So 1941 is when it started.

  43. It can't be December. By December 1941 Germany had already taken like 1 to 2 mil square kilometers of the Russian territories ( up to 2 million at it's largest extent) they were already at Moscow. That is by the very definition a WW.

The stop was (in it's first phase) at the Ural mountains... Which is again, not an entirety of Russia... Which essentially means that it wouldn't end until the whole thing is settled (either Japanese also invade, or the Austrian painter would wage a stage 2, taking over Asia etc etc etc)... which is the world war.

  48.  @bjorntorlarsson  The world did care though. The whole of Europe had United including Brits and Nazi Germans, with help to the Finnish troops. Yes, Brits were officially at war with Germany, but were helping them together with Fins to fight off Russians. Which had exacerbated Russian problems with Finland, which in turn had provoked Austrian painter to invade Russia in the first place, and it was done so deliberately by Brits. Which in turn had started the hole ordeal.
