  1. That's not the problem and it's not going to happen soon. However a more scarier thought is the eye tracking. That technology already exists, and any modern phone has it, and it can be integrated in PC cameras and with the advancements in AI, it is also coming to Windows 12... Now imagine them tracking your eyes to make sure that you are watching your ad, and as soon as you turn your eyes away the add stops playing, until your eyes get back on it... Now that's something that is actually coming, and that's scary...

  2. yep. 5 seconds is barely bearable, and in reality, you don't need more than that. Buy our product X because X, or we provide X. That's it. I don't need a whole story around it. Stories that I don't care about and would never care.

  3. You don't account for a fact that they've already tried solving it too. There are ads on some website where it stops an ad if you switch to another tab or scroll down... And on youtube it already plays an ad sometimes if you switch back to your tab, or move a mouse on a paused video... There's gonna come a time when they will be making sure you are watching it. Modern mobile phones even track your eye movement - precisely for that reason. So it will eventually happen, make no mistake...

  5. Yeah that's the most annoying part. Youtube has literally been a part of me since my childhood. Since school days. It is so criminal what they are doing now with ads. And it's getting worse with each year.

  6. Wow you got lucky with 2 to 6 ads. I've literally had like 1 ad every minute for a 2 hour video once lol. ( and later they removed that channel anyway lol. but they squeeze you and use you like no tomorrow before hand). But the w. is when I had like a 30 minute ad on a 20 minute video. It was unbelievable.
