  1. To me it's pretty obvious that the first pilot Zaharie Shah was the reason. Wait for your secondary pilot to go to the bathroom, close the cockpit door. After which you have a whole plane down for yourself. There's no real motive here that I can see, aside from him thinking that stealing a Boeing would be "cool".
