  22. @TheMarioManiac No it doesn't, for anyone saying that oil is "dying off" doesn't understand the economy or how the world works. The general public, like 99% has absolutely no clue, and no grasp on the economy or how it works. Oil - as in petrol is not going to be running out in demand even with all of the electric stuff pushing agenda. Because it is not just European markets it is literally the whole world of Asia and Africa which everyone is expecting to grow and relies on benefiting from selling them energy resources one of them - being the oil, and the growth in Africa alone is almost limitless... On top of that in Europe itself, it is not going to be replacing the industrial production like bulldozers large cranes etc. etc etc. But on top it all of this. Oil is not just petrol. Oil is PLASTIC oil is ROADS, oil is the future of SPACE exploration. When will we stop using plastic? when will we stop building roads? when will we stop launching rocket? in the next few years, the world is expected to 10 fold it's satellite presence to 100k satelites, on top of every other program, and a large chunk of it is going to be run on methane - which is connected to the oil production... so not in the next 100 years. And that's me just scratching the surface mentioning just a few factors of the oil production industry, there are like hundreds of different products coming from the oil industry production... So it is not coming away. Certainly not in the next 100 years, and probably even longer. The only efforts right now of Europe try and slightly slow the rate of the consumption of oil itself. and they are there to alleviate oil production and demand in the future. So instead of say market demanding 110 barrels, it would demand 105 barrels instead in the next 50 years... if the wishful thinking of those regulations becomes the reality... That's the whole point of the agenda of going "electric" is to alleviate the oil demands so that the world economy doesn't collapse and has more advanced and diverse ways of economic growth. i. e. for securing future economic growth. That's it. There is no real "caring for the environment" at it's core it's pure thinking of it's own interests of securing growth of the worlds most advanced economies in the future. So no, Scotland would be better of and it's wealth would skyrocket compare to the rest of the UK. With main factors being not just the oil. But the restored relations with Rusland, as it can start from the fresh page. and restore it's relations with the rest of the world and it's neighbors.
