Excellent advice Lewis, great video
1
Both sides are to blame on this one. The Soviets should have prevented the children from getting involved. To the extent they are able
1
@horriblepancake And that's probably why Reagan said it. The man was smart
1
They do exist, but TIK isn't one of them
1
So are the converts then part of the race? I'm being earnest here - this is a genuine question
1
Socialism is authoritarian. Income and wealth redistribution require government force. The more redistribution, the bigger the government you need
1
The Soviets took over Bessarabia before this all transpired. I think most Eastern European people (not Poland at the time, but perhaps later) probably saw the Reich as the lesser evil
1
@TheImperatorKnight I blame France the most, followed by Austria and Russia. You're right though, it would take thousands of hours of study and even then it's nearly impossible to be conclusive
1
Liberated. What a joke
1
MajorLeague Precisely. If today American industry was reorganised under the auspices of 'Trump Works' and a 4 year plan we'd call that nationalisation, because that's what it would be
1
' The university lecturer's who've taught me were world experts in their field who've conducted extensive original research. ' And the authors of the books? They'll be the same people sometimes! @rat_thrower5604
1
Indeed. Converting a public limited company into a Ltd company by delisting it is making it private
1
Roosevelt was definitely more left wing than Churchill. By far I would say
1
Building up the navy with a surface fleet to challenge the US or the UK was impossible. It would have taken 3 years or more and do we expect that the allies wouldn't also have built new ships?
1
Well let's hope they don't prattle on about poverty and the evil Tories/Republicans/Capitalism @rat_thrower5604
1
The word democracy comes from the Greek. It literally means 'the hands of the people'.
1
really? When supported by, Industrialists, White Russians, monarchists, aristocrats and many anti Communist youth who were are ALL Right wing and joined the SS to die 'fighting Bolshevism', NOT capital So they preferred National Socialism because it wasn't quite as left-wing as Marxist Leninism. That doesn't mean that they both aren't left-wing. (Which they are)
1
@TheImperatorKnight Of course everything is relative then, so other Youtubers may also get fewer likes. Might end up being a wash
1
@Aioradeleo27 Moscow has never held strategic importance and probably never will
1
mike mcmike Oh wow you said 'incel' now we're all convinced
1
Perhaps not, and we would be sure, had he provided an argument or evidence
1
That's right. If the shares are listed they're public. If not, they aren't. It's even in the name; 'plc' is public limited company and 'Ltd' is limited company (limited by shares, that is)
1
I agree other than immediate surrender sparing more lives - I doubt that very much given the lack of food and the fact that this is the USSR we're talking about
1
'Free' college means that everyone gets to pay (via tax) for a privilege enjoyed by a minority. It is wealth redistribution from low income groups to high income groups
1
@dwarow2508 They murdered fewer people, that's a simple fact
1
My reading of Glantz has now caught up to you TIK - now I can read and watch at about the same pace, while I also get through Panzerkrieg and Death of the Leaping Horseman by J D Mark
1
Privatisation only works if it introduces competition. Worked well for airlines and telecoms, not so much for railways
1
Because Stalingrad is a key part of that flank - it controls the Volga river completely (the path by which oil and supplies flow North to the USSRs main forces)
1
@michaelkovacic2608 I'm against the State in the same way as TIK - I appreciate it is inevitable but it is a necessary evil, not a force for good
1
@real_yunicellular Farmers are phenomenally wealthy in the UK
1
Some of the units were elite so it seems some of them did. Or are you saying 'Das Reich' as a mobile division would not have received priority?
1
Time Ghost comes nowhere near
1
Good argument. The force composition and doctrine clearly emphasised the attack. This holds true even if we discount the scale of the buildup
1
If Germany had defeated the Soviet Union, they would have had all the oil they needed and would have rendered the Royal navy blockade ineffective. Britain's power was naval, her army could not hope to stand against the Wehrmacht
1
Stalin saw what we did to Dresden
1
A rationalist? Aren't scientists supposed to be empirical?
1
The 'Mittelstand'
1
It's actually quite easy to argue that in many ways, WW2 was a continuation of WW1
1
To be honest, Germany needed the oil or she was going to be beaten anyway. Within this context, an opposition to strategic retreat made sense
1
Neidell is OK for a simplistic chronological overview. But to pick up any detail whatsoever TIK is far superior
1
TIK, It's pronounced 'Lukas Koonig' The Umlaut narrows the vowel
1
Excellent video - this is what it's all about
1
@jboss119 Nah, I think if Patton was in charge he wouldn't have done any better
1
The ultimate peer review. Yet many academics are 'running scared'
1
Hold on Lewis, When Count Dankula taught his pug to do the Nazi salute it was under the understanding that this was 'the most evil thing possible'. The crux of the thing was to corrupt his girlfriend's (now wife's) dog whom she obviously thought was precious Was it in good taste? No Was it an expression of support for Nazism? No Was it a joke? Yes
1
@TheImperatorKnight Awesome, I thought you'd think that was the case but just wasn't sure. It was an absolute travesty and the biggest problem with it is that it lends credulity to actual Nazis who can claim victimhood. It beggars belief and I think they didn't realise they cocked it up but then they got in too deep and couldn't admit it
1
They are subject to equal push-back from authority. Marxism's claims are no less brutally enforced when they become more ridiculous
1
I think the reason is that politics is about the role of the state. Should it be bigger and have a larger role in your life? Or the opposite? That's one axis.
1
Hmmm. 'All TIK's videos are accurate and meticulously researched except the one which challenges my political preconceptions'
1
@TheImperatorKnight the Academic Ayatalloh has made some strange takes but they are always well argued. I'm more in Mr Dee's camp
