@jaay816 20 years ago we didnt even have touch screen phones and people used pagers still. The growth in tech is exponential and once we give AI enough tools, it will find conscious itself. It definitely wont be in year 3000. We will probably see this in our lifetime.

@teka5509 Simple logic that has literally never happened to any life on Earth before. Its not so "Simple". What is simple is human nature. Ambition is going to kill us all. Evolution is natural. Creating sentience that kills us is the exact opposite of logical. If we cared about self preservation like all other species, we wouldn't be here.
