@CarportCarl They made time for contemplation and the world would be way better for it if more people did. You have the time, but choose not to because someone told you thinking is bad. Which is a really sad state of society. We can't have a nation of strong thinkers, how else would we be able to propagandize them?

@ryanh7167 The important words to focus on here are "at some level". I have rational faith my phone exists, its in my hand, I am typing on it now, and so therefore it exists. Lets take it past the senses to authority. I know the great wall of china exists because I have seen pictures across history that show the same thing. The bible is the only proof for the bible and it claims to say something exists when there has been very very poor evidence for it. That's why its called "Blind" faith. There are no corresponding truths that can be assigned to a god existing. Which is why it gets compared to fairy tale figures.
