  1. I dont think its that simple. Everyone lives relative to their society. Should those that have cell phones be grateful they arent starving in another country? Sure. But that doesnt mean oppression doesnt exist in 1st world, developed countries. There are still shining examples of systematic oppression happening all over. If someone has it worse off across the world doesnt mean everything in your world is fine.

  2. What I find appalling is the counter argument of cost. Fuck your cost! Fuck the economics, the reason we have such shit morals is because we value currency above basic human ethics and morals. Stop equating value with net worth
