  3. 58% of GDP being government spending is just insane. Contrary to the claim of the presenter, this is, in fact, a problem in and of itself. Governments do not produce -- they primarily consume. Government spending does not contribute to production with the same efficacy as private sector activity, else communist centralization of production would have worked instead of failing every time it has been tried. The smaller the private sector relative to the public sector, the closer a country edges toward total economic chaos and destruction.
