  1. The massive levels of debt compared to currency supply is also dragging on the global economy. We're at the point in the long term debt cycle in which either a new great depression will occur or the currency will have to be devalued to essentially create a modern jubilee. In fact, anyone who was paying attention knew that a recession was looming due to the yield curve inversions starting in December 2018 and the August 2019 repo market crisis ("repo" in this case means securities repurchase agreement, one of the main global eurodollar funding mechanisms). We briefly had another yield curve inversion last year during the March madness. The idea that the economic pain would somehow be over as quickly as they've indicated with the gaslighting was always absurd.
