  2.  @danielgrohl6971  the Christian notion of Hell is a stretched and warped derivation of the Jewish concept of Gehenna/Gehinnom, a valley considered cursed for historical reasons. Christians believe the absurd notion that Hitler would have gone to heaven had he converted to Christianity the day he died and Mother Theresa would be condemned to Hell if she lost her conviction on the day of hear death. With such an arbitrary notion of what constitutes "evil", it is no wonder Christians have to be kept in line with threats of hellfire.
