Fun fact: if you keep your money in a credit union, you won't be subject to a bail-in. Credit union members are already equity owners whereas depositors of commercial banks are unsecured creditors. I am also fairly confident that credit unions will not have to resort to negative interest rates because they are not structured to be wildly irresponsible/unstable the way commercial banks are.

@kylejoseph225 maybe. I've long been a crypto enthusiast because the crypto markets are the only truly free markets around. It is worth keeping in mind that the credit unions were mostly unscathed during the 2008 crisis: 481 banks were liquidated or merged under FDIC guidance, whereas only 161 credit unions met a similar fate under the guidance of NCUSIF; mortgage delinquency rates for credit unions peaked at 1.61% compared to 8.86% for commercial banks.
