  1. When you say "statistics", what you mean to say is "odds". You can't collect "statistics" on unique events, but you could calculate odds. However, every event is improbable when you consider how many different variables theoretically could have been different for each event. What you keep stumbling upon is what Carl Jung called "synchronicity", and it will baffle you until you get a grasp on the concept. Hidden variables causing these synchronicities (e.g. secret cabals) are unlikely to exist, and prognostication on such is largely irrelevant.
