  1. Tesla open sourced its charging format patent and is requiring no royalties for its use (or at least that was the state of things the last time I checked). The main problem is that they made supercharging free for Tesla owners, so they wanted other EV manufacturers to pay for their customers charging at Tesla supercharging stations.

  5. "Iron clad" is a bit of a stretch. You can't trust any so-called "science" that is infiltrated by political actors, especially when the same field cried wolf about a coming ice age just 50 years ago and was caught falsifying data a little over 10 years ago in support of a UN agenda.
