Once the pandemic is over, I would definitely be interested in watching a vodcast that covers non-pandemic health information, e.g. new study results, meta-analyses, etc.

@Parrysweets co-morbidities* Young people with no commodities will get fukt by inflation.

It will be hilarious when it turns out that the newest variant is far more mild than any previous variant and all the scaremongering was pointless. Yes, Doctor, let's just destroy the already hobbled economy so that even more shortages are caused, even more people die from not getting the non-covid treatments they need, and even more people in emerging markets die of starvation. Excellent idea.

When I heard that Russians could just buy vaccine passports without taking the vaccine, I laughed so hard that I accidentally inhaled a small piece of chocolate. That's hilarious. Good ol Russia.
6
The difference in profit motive is why the guy in charge of AstraZeneca jab production is not pushing for mandates or boosters while the big pharma kleptocrats in the US are.
5
The "=/-" is a typo for "+/-" since the plus and equals signs are the same key. "35+/-20" means the precision of measurement leaves an uncertainty of 20. That is very low precision compared to the number measured, which makes the reported results rather questionable imo.

Australia has taken the opportunity to use the military to round up "suspected close contacts" and put them in "quarantine facilities" aka concentration camps. It would be better that the virus spread freely than we all become slaves.
3
@TheSathandra also almost all forward indicators showed a recession in Europe and a looming recession in the US in late 2018 through 2019, but the bureaucrats and politicians get to keep gaslighting the public and blaming it all on covid.
3
Hail Nemesis

Gotta say, I agree with the good doctor's sentiments regarding the BBC's recent work. They seem to have sold off their quality, objectivity, and integrity for a few extra partisan clicks.
3
That's an impressive study

Oh boy, new variant means we have to give Big Brother more power so they can pretend to save us from it. Yay modernity.
2
If to "err on the side of caution" means to "destroy the economy and impoverish as many people as possible", then I disagree with the notion that politicians should "err on the side of caution". Having seen what they do when allowed a modicum of power, I believe that politicians cannot be trusted in any way.
2
Maybe Scott Morrison saw the covid gulags and thought, "crikey, I reckon we may 'ave gone a bit too far with this coronatarianism. We gotta slow down before me mates start building ovens."
2
This is quite sinister.
2
Worth noting that mutations that do not confer a selective advantage are not necessarily selected out. Generic drift is a well known phenomenon at this point.
2
All models are wrong; some models are useful. Government models are useful for justifying their preferred policy to roll out increasing levels of fascism. It's the fourth turning; prepare to party like it's 1932.
2
The creation of hybrids and chimeras was the prelude to the destruction of the whole earth according to ancient traditions. These scientists may have intellect, but they completely lack wisdom.
1
I disagree with the idea that we want to drag this out as long as possible. Imo it would be better to get it over with faster so the hypnotists brainwashing the masses with fear-porn become impotent before they manage to pull off another Holodomor.
1
Additionally, the faster it goes through the population, the lower the chance it picks up mutations to become more pathogenic.
1
If it wasn't for the overall pattern of untrustworthiness, one statistical miracle could be rationally ignored. (Miracles happen all the time. Cf. the LTCM fund blow-up.)
1
Actually, the idea of innoculating a population with an engineered virus to prevent the spread of more pathogenic variants was part of an Ecohealth Alliance grant proposal that the NIH rejected. The grant proposal was specific to bats and coronaviruses in Wuhan.

Free knowledge in pdf form. Thank you very much.

It could be that the polling institutions are dishonest, or it could be that their methodology is somehow flawed, e.g. people are more likely to self-censor and fall in line with a perceived majority in in-person/telephonic interactions but more likely to hold fast to their opinions in pseudonymous online interactions. It is also possible that online interactions are more susceptible to Sybil attacks that skew the results artificially. It would be interesting to see the change in responses under onymous vs pseudonymous conditions, for example having a component of the survey take place with zero knowledge proofs or ring signatures with large anonymization sets.

Biden is pretty obviously a puppet of corporate interests. He can't even form a coherent sentence without the help of his handlers.
1
The likely reason that they shut down their program for addressing vitamin D deficiency is that it would be an actual solution, and actual solutions are bad because they remove the problems that politicians and bureaucrats use to justify their parasitic existence. If government did its job, it would be out of a job. Same general principle applies to non-profits.
1
@michellewestlake6766 Cool. It will be nice when some of the medical research news I see is about something other than covaids.
1
Power is a poison, addictive and destructive like meth. The UK government has been taking a high dose and is unwilling to undergo withdrawal. I see an Australian style fascist future for Europe.
1
There is exactly one situation in which viewing the material is acceptable: when a law enforcement officer is investigating the related crime and collecting evidence. I imagine officers would need quite a lot of psychotherapy to maintain their sanity.
1
Governments are not freaking out about omicron because it is substantially dangerous to our health. Governments are freaking out because it is dangerous to their planned rollout of fascism: if they let omicron inoculate the world, they will no longer have an excuse to abuse us.
1
The institutions are untrustworthy. When someone lies blatantly and consistently, it would be more problematic to trust them than to mistrust them.
1
Sounds like a good opportunity to do a Bayesian analysis to calculate relative worthiness of vaccination by jab type, sex, age group, and underlying conditions. The main question is the likelihood of developing an infection given that someone is exposed to covid (we can separately figure out the likelihood of exposure or just assume it is close enough to 1 to be safely ignored).
1
Just 14 years to slow the spread/flatten the curve.
1
This is the natural result when government incentivizes and sponsors large corporations.
1
If someone stabs you to steal your wallet, and you had an asymptomatic covid infection, it will still count as a "covid death". Thus, the death statistics are almost meaningless.
1
Here in America, most of us realize that the Biden administration is inept.
1
This kind of stuff makes anarchy much more appealing than these corrupt institutions.
1
Actually, SARS-CoV-1 is still kept in labs, and there have been some notable lab leak outbreaks such as the Beijing outbreak in 2004.
1
@iforce2d just as the covid pandemic began, I was working on an integration for a hospital staffing company. They had to cancel the contract and nearly went under because their hospitals almost went bankrupt from the lack of demand due to the lockdown panic. Lots of horrible decisions from central planners/bureaucrats from the outset, but people are still following along like lemmings.
1
Do you trust your government to do anything competently? That idea is laughable here in America. Our government can't even collect taxes competently. I would not want them producing my medicines.
1
The CCP seems hell bent on making sure that there is nobody left for the virus to kill with these policies. I expect the downfall of the CCP within a decade.
1
When there's nothing to do, do nothing. It can be difficult to accept that some things are, but some things just are. If you're worried about people who have high risk for covid, you may as well direct your displeasure at God rather than the government: either way, it is to no avail. Here in America, our government bureaucrats have been explicitly lying to us the whole time: first they said "don't wear a mask" because they wanted them all for themselves; then they said "wash your hands a lot" even though it is primarily spread from airborne droplets; then they said "we didn't fund any gain-of-function research" when they clearly did. I'd rather have had a government that we could trust to be honestly unknowing rather than one that is maliciously deceptive.
1
Fauci is a surprisingly unempirical individual considering he claims to be the Holy Ordained Speaker of Science.
1
The ubiquitous "bigger studies need to be done" at the end of each of these is probably equal parts CYA and hire-me-again.
1
In a world awash in lies, this focus on truth and data is refreshing and appreciated.

Anyone else think Wefwafwa's accent is beautiful, or am I crazy?
1
The Pfizer vaccines has actually not been officially approved; or rather, the supposedly FDA-approved vaccine is not available. If there was an FDA-approved vaccine available, the emergency use authorizations would legally have to be revoked -- Robert Barnes is currently suing the FDA over this to compel them to either clarify that there is no approved vaccine or revoke the EUAs.
