  1. It will be hilarious when it turns out that the newest variant is far more mild than any previous variant and all the scaremongering was pointless. Yes, Doctor, let's just destroy the already hobbled economy so that even more shortages are caused, even more people die from not getting the non-covid treatments they need, and even more people in emerging markets die of starvation. Excellent idea.

  2. Australia has taken the opportunity to use the military to round up "suspected close contacts" and put them in "quarantine facilities" aka concentration camps. It would be better that the virus spread freely than we all become slaves.
