I believe criticism of Israel's colonization of the West Bank is warranted, as is criticism of the dehumanizing remarks made by both Israeli politicians and citizens regarding the Palestinians of Gaza, but it is plainly obvious to anyone with 2 brain cells to rub together that the Islamic Republic must be prevented from obtaining a nuclear weapon. Whether or not this was the right time and the right strategy can be debated, but now that Israel has created the opportunity, the US would be amiss to not make the best of it and neuter this hostile and malevolent regime. The USS Nimitz is en route to the Middle East and should join the USS Vinson in a few days. B-2 Spirit bombers have been deployed to Diego Garcia, within range of Iran. The B-2 Spirits are the only planes capable of dropping the Massive Ordinance Penetrator aka MOP "bunker buster", necessary to take out the Fordow facility. My guess is that Trump will authorize this strike, and then Israel will use their bunker busters (which are smaller than the MOP) to take out Khamenei. Supposedly, Iranian military officers have been contacting the exiled Crown Prince Pahlavi and swearing allegiance, so this could develop into a civil war between the few military members still loyal to the IRGC and everyone else over the coming weeks.
