  1. The Federal Reserve banking cartel has been a net negative for the American worker, but I doubt that partisan politics would be a better solution. I suspect the best way forward would be free market money and a prohibition of maturity transformation in bank credit creation. On the topic of consumer price changes from tariffs, they will only be inflationary if the price hikes are financed by consumer credit expansion and larger importer letters of credit. Otherwise, the result will be disinflation/deflation elsewhere in the economy as money flows are rerouted and reprioritized.
