I agree that it would be good long term, but I approach it from an alternate angle: the illusion of neutrality in the USD system should be broken so that its monetary premium which guts American industry is dissipated. The current system relies too much on the Cantillon effect to suck wealth away from the rest of the world to enrich bankers. Long term economic health for the world will require an actually neutral form of money imo.
