  1. The term "liberal" should not be confused with the terms "communist" or "leftist". Liberals believe in individual rights and supplying a safety net to empower the disenfranchised to exercise those rights. Leftists and communists want to destroy America and fundamentally reshape it as a nation without individual rights in which everybody is equally destitute: they would applaud the poor getting poorer so long as the rich are less rich. Liberals want everyone to own a home; communists would rather see millions of starving people die in the streets than let people own the houses and businesses they've built. Liberals want to make sure everyone's voice is heard; communists want to silence their opponents. Liberals believe we all have moral obligations to fulfill for the unilateral betterment of society; communists believe that any casualty count is morally justified so long as the government can crush individual thought for the supposed benefit of the collective.
