Democratic representation in government, trial by jury of peers, rights for women's self-determination, and individual liberty in general were all part of heathen Germanic civilization long before the advent of Christianity ended those traditions. This lie perpetuated by Christians to justify their absurd beliefs is pernicious and annoying. Christianity was only mildly less toxic 500 years ago than Islam (a 500 year younger Abrahamic religion) is today, and it almost wiped out the Western civilization for which modern Christians pompously take credit. You can't even truthfully claim that your religion brought peace to Europe, so why are you ascribing to it the success of all things it tried to destroy?
