That's a lot of reasons that don't really resonate with me, so I'll add my take on the benefits of wearing a home-made ruana: 1) It is versatile and very pragmatic, especially since I added 8 magnets to hold it together in certain ways when dealing with inclement weather. 2) It looks pretty good.
