  1. @_B_E  it is fine when used in its proper place, e.g. creating some working example code to demonstrate a library or syntax feature that you're unfamiliar with, or filling in the gaps in something already structured. But the vibe coding thing doesn't make any sense to me.

I don't vibe with AIs -- if I attempt to vibe code, I end up so frustrated that I start swearing at it and vaguely threatening its grandma, then give up because it coded itself into a corner that it can't escape, start fixing it myself, decide the code is shit that I don't want to work with, and abandon the project because doing it right requires starting with a thoughtful specification and basic code structure that the vibe-coded AI slop doesn't have.
