They aint from saxony, saxon is another word for seax the knife they carried also that other "Germanic speaking" tribes carried...also Angles, jutes and Danes ( saxons) came from the Coastal regions of those countries basically neighbours to Britain and when they arrived and mixed, married with the Natives they became (Anglo-saxons) its really that simple...

Only through the Austro-Hungarian empire was it named Greater Germany for all the Germanic speaking tribes it encompassed..
