@leejamesreid2480 where did bagpipes, or small pipes originally come from in these isles we call home? , or should i say english bagpipes, 🤔.

@peteymax we do indentify the irish as irish even up the north, if ireland was the biggest out the collection of island we call the british isles then it would 100% absolutely positively be called the irish isles... Of greater ireland...

@TheLastAngryMan01 thats weird last time i went Ireland they spoke it, cornish died off naturally, same as manx although there is a revival, and considering Scots Gaelic is basically colonised from the Irish in the Dal Riada, so many Scots dont identify with being labelled Irish, and those that do, the majority are too lazy to learn it... Are you a silly American by any chance..

@MiloManning05 a mick is a southern catholic rebulican who joins the british army... Soldiers banter a micky taig, and dont mean this in a horrible way, you can see a few documentaries on this.. And they give each other as good as they get its dark humour that all soldiers do...

You should learn old english, anglo saxon mercian...its west german dialect crossed with dutch and danish..then do kentish after considering how small england is the difference between them is like night and day..then nothumbrian with the scandinavian influence then west saxon should come easy..

@viniciuskindle whaaa!.. It is when youve spoke it from day one and its still around just, and if this the case why is when you find yourself in a muzlim neighbourhood nobody speaks english or irish then, your comment clearly holds no water...

Dont blame the british or english on that one, if the ulster scots can still speak and understand it up the north even though slight differences, then so bloody well should they in the rebublic, its their owns faults for not learning it and letting it die...

@DA-og4px remember whole of britain was mainly catholic before the normans came, right up to henry the 8th, and also spoke a proto romano celtish before aswell... Only roman puppets and the wealthy spoke latin.. And danelaw didnt spread to all corners of britain...

The fanciest in uk you make a appointment and get picked up in a Bentley... And be called sir, and what would sir be needing today, not awwite mate, watta ya wan in broken english..then finished with a crisp freshly steamed floral perfumed linen gently placed on ones face and nape, not a chilled flannel slung on ya mug...

@SEEYAIAYE old english not middle or third english as in Shakespeare, the first english language when we was all celts, its like a mix between welsh and gaelic both scot and irish, so we all could understand each other for trade and marriage alliance's before the roman conquest, it stands in good stead that many english fled up to the north to scotland, west into wales and across the sea through occupation, another reason why cornwall still has strong gaelic routes being difficult country to get through and maintain soldiers with the moors being a natural barrier...
