Why take my reply down, no such place called wales back then, all classed as Brittania, tribes from that area was called wealas that merged together to become welsh or wales, angles was English tribes from that area Anglos, the northern tribes was called Picts now called Scotland..

@kylegill4932 dont think so anything that to much to do with Roman would have been chased into the sea or dispatched after all the Elite and auxiliarys went..the reason hardly any if no Roman DNA shows up in ancient graves and the native population now..as in a small percentage like 2 to 5%, and that could have came from the Gauls or even the Gaels from Ireland through the Celtic regions of Iberia.

Not really as anything to do with Roman and the Elite or Gvmt would have been chased into the sea or dispatched after all the Auxiliarys left, only a tiny percentage of this DNA shows up in a tiny percentage of natives across UK and Ireland, and even this can be contributed to the Gauls or Celtic lands of Iberia, or even the Gaels from Ireland during Dal Riada which is probably where this tiny percentage of much further afield foreign DNA comes from as akin to Northern western European neighbouring tribes, you know like the Danes, jutes, saxons..or Normans..
