  3. ​ @ClassifiedUnit-135 they didnt force nothing on the British, in fact the Germans themselves wanted to take the colonies, if you going to comment on history at least be truthful and not spout re-visionist noncence please....i get that germans are salty for having to give theirs up in africa and other parts after WW1 but that still dosnt make any reason for one to lie..

  4. No?, not at all, there was many different aspects to the SS?!, and the weopon SS was last to be formed, they was begleit kommando first, and then The polizei SS, then Camp guard SS.... The waffen SS came late in Hitlers leadership ?....we know they was only 3 divisions of fighting SS during Dunkirk made up from the aforementioned Units above, example/1st being Hitlers body guard, 3rd totenkopft being Previous camp guards!,inside the SS is a good documentary to learn all about them and time frame and beginnings of its conception...

They cant be called elite divisions per say, but rather small elite units was formed from them, as with a mountain troop, a ski troop, a marine troop, even a special air unit consisting of pilots and parachutist?, but the waffen SS as a whole, then no not elite, just very indoctrinated to the fanatical levels of fight hard and to the death types....in fact the loss levels at the start of their conception to be used as front line soldiers was absolutely phenomenal untill they gained experience, there is reports from wehrmacht generals of concern about their tactics and fool hardiness in battle when having to fight along side them or having them on their flanks..in memoirs referring to Sepp Dietrich makes this point clearly...

  7. ​​​​​​​ @Wolf-hh4rv indeed you're correct!, they was European side Mediterranean SS units, they was used in Crete and Greece, sardinia some of these was from the( Kusten) also(gebirgs jager) mountain cadres also Italy had eliments from the armoured divisions aswell, as in certain units and not the full division, like the recon and SP AAA battalion as in Greece...

The muslum SS was used for one thing only and that was to hunt and exterminate jews from the Balkans, mainly in anti partizan actions or round ups, to even running death camps within and across Yugoslavia like jasenovich...as with the indian SS they was thought of to be rather useless and un trust worthy in traditional combat, ethics, tradition and skills..Hence used for the dirty jobs as in war crimes or simple cannon fodder..
