  1. I am from here. Poor is relative. That first house is probably 60K. That exact same house in LA is a 1.3 million dollar home. If you make 60K in Appalachia you live a better life than making 150k in California.

  5. It's not just skid row. I was in LA about 6 months ago. It's EVERYWHERE. The entire city is a shithole. There have been BILLIONS spent in LA to fix this and all the free stuff made it worse. Democrat policy caused this. If you reward bad behavior you get more of it.
