  1. It’s not controversial. I’m black with TS, and nobody can help it. It’s uncontrollable. EVERYONE knows what the word is, you don’t have to say it in order for it to be a tic though. You can hear others say it and repeat it as a tic, or you can just know what a word is and have it as a tic.

  7.  @jessiejesse2160  As a black person with Tourettes, I’ve had tics that unfortunately were things like that or racial slurs. You can’t limit vocal tics. Tics like that are rare due to Coprolalia so you probably won’t see many who have tics like that. And no, the word does not have to appear in your mind for it to be a tic. Tics can be things you’ve seen, heard, been scared of saying out loud, or things you’ve never said/thought of. Tics aren’t for you to buy. Please educate yourself.

  14. As somebody with Tourettes, i would most definitely choose not to have it. This ruins peoples lives, it’s not fun, it genuinely hurts, although being without it would feel extremely weird since I’m used to ticcing.

  19. No, we’re not gonna talk about it, because it’s not his fault. Even though he’s white, it’s still very clearly a tic and you can’t hold somebody accountable for that. Would you get angry with a deaf person because they didn’t hear you? Why is it not acceptable, it’s a tic honey, don’t be ableist. It’s not racism if he didn’t mean to say it.

You rewatching the video and making assumptions/accusations isn’t actual proof of anything, so how do you know that Summer, Rihanna, and Mariah are faking? Can’t just make such rude ass accusations like that without any proof.
