Hey, as someone with an Eating disorder, nobody can control whether they have an eating disorder or not. It isn’t a cry for attention, it’s a cry for help. All eating disorders are very serious and very dangerous, people have died from them. If everyone turned away and ignored the person who would constantly purge their food (throw up their food) and look at their food as if they’re struggling to eat it, you’re only making it worse. If someone does that, it’s clear they need help. Eating disorders are serious, and can get worse if they aren’t treated. Ignoring them won’t make them stop doing it, because their struggle with not eating isn’t gonna go away because lack of attention, most people actually enjoy the lack of attention when they have EDs, it’s very annoying and disappointing to them when someone brings it up. They aren’t a complete waste of time and energy, have you ever dealt with an eating disorder? Has someone you know dealt with one? Imagine they lost their life because of it, imagine YOU lost your own life because of it. It’s not a joke. She knows she caused the damage to her body, which is why she got help for it, people know when they need help, and they know what they want help. She deserved the recovery, though. Imagine how much time, energy, and lack of self worth goes into eating disorders, it’s so exhausting, and it’s so difficult to have. But, not all eating disorders involve purging, some are binge eating. You don’t understand how difficult it is to eat after you’ve gotten so used to not doing it. Everyone didn’t have to pay attention to her for her to stop, what helped her out a bit was the recovery and reaching out. You wish that people who have ED’s would do that just because they’re struggling, like everyone in this entire world has? Everyone has struggled before, but you don’t wish death on them just because you don’t understand their pain. “If you’re going to have an eating disorder JUST DO IT and VANISH”..you have no empathy, and its embarrassing. So what, people with eating disorders should just keep it to themselves instead of trying to get help? You, my friend, are the reason why people don’t speak up about their mental health problems. The best way to deal with someone with an eating disorder isn’t ignoring them, as someone who has one, personally what helped was my friends (mainly my boyfriend), because they would encourage me to eat, they would constantly try to help me recover, and that’s what made me how I am today, without them, I wouldn’t have made it. People just need help, therapy, and friends who truly care.

This comment is so ridiculous. First of all, it’s not her fault that she’s famous, she spreads awareness about the NEUROLOGICAL DISORDER she has, it’s not a disease. Tourette syndrome doesn’t make someone special, it’s just naturally apart of them, it’s what makes them them. Tics can seem well rehearsed and “perfect”, but that doesn’t mean anything, as all tics are different. She does have a disability/neurological disorder.
Not everyone with Tourette syndrome says rude things, so don’t create a stereotype by saying EVERY PERSON with TS ONLY says curse words when that’s caused by Coprolalia, it’s rare, only 10% of people with TS have it. It’s random and not premeditated, but the rude words or cursing is caused by Coprolalia, that’s not their fault.
Tourette syndrome is not developed by kids attention seeking, actually really nobody knows what it’s ACTUALLY caused by, maybe trauma, maybe it’s genetic, but it’s different for everyone. It’s not even a habit.
“Simple solution. Correct your kids”..BY DOING WHAT?? A hard slap on the face won’t cure anything, actually if you do that, it could 100% make the tics worse. If your child says something like that due to a tic, you can’t expect that tic to magically go away just because you slapped them. It doesn’t sort it out, why would violence help? Tourette syndrome isn’t based on discipline. I have Tourette syndrome and my parents were extremely abusive/(went overboard with discipline), and I still ended up having TS.

@juangokuz0578 Suffering from Autism, schizophrenia, depression, and anorexia is obviously very hard, but homosexuality isn’t a disorder. Doctors have of course said there’s a lot of treatments for those things, some were born with those disorders/disabilities, and they have to work on it, but coming to Jesus does not help or solve anything. What you believe in, or what your religion is does not help a disorder. Help and repentance? For what, exactly? Getting your hopes up on something like that is pointless, seeking help from actual professionals is more helpful. I’ve read the Bible before, so yes, I know Jesus talks about sick people and bad spirits, but the thing is, disorders are not sicknesses, and they are not bad spirits especially neurological ones. “They were healed”..im sorry, but it doesn’t exactly work that way. Doctors have limited power, yes, but Jesus cannot exactly help everything. Stop spreading false information. I’m not stopping anyone from talking about how Jesus can help and all of that, I’m gonna obviously stop people who are saying disorders are demons and spreading all this false information about stuff that’s already commonly misunderstood. Demons exist, yes, but disorders are not demons.

@dreddmann9292 That’s not the same for everyone though. Tics are involuntary, which makes them uncontrollable. Anita may look like she’s doing it on purpose but you’re forgetting that tics can look like they’re done on purpose, but it’s still involuntary at the end of the day. It’s your choice whether you wanna believe it or not, but literally keep that to yourself. She’s not trying to do it on purpose, honestly you need to do more research. Again, you don’t have to believe her, nobody has ever asked you to lmao, keep that to yourself, because your reasoning to apparently not believe her is ridiculous. Your instincts are wrong. She made it work for her because she can handle it differently, I think you’re forgetting that disabilities/disorders/syndromes affect others differently and it all depends on how they can personally handle it. It’s not that SHE doesn’t have a hard time with Tourettes, it’s how she handles it and how well she can control it. That’s not the same for everyone though. Everyone who has it struggles with it and has a hard time though, just because she can handle it well doesn’t mean you get to invalidate her situation. You can’t always “see it in their eyes”, because it’s different for everyone. Have you seen everyone with Tourette syndrome? No? Okay then. Exactly. If you apparently don’t see it in her eyes, that’s because it’s different for her. You can literally see the panic in her eyes when she says something inappropriate or something disrespectful, watch one of her tics that were dangerous🤦🏽♀️

@loganbrazzell6683 Because she does actually have TS. I don’t think I’m an expert, I just know about it and I experience it myself. I literally have neurological disorders but yeah, I definitely don’t understand it! Tourettes can’t be reversed at all, I’ve done plenty of research on it, and if you actually did, you’d know that there’s no cure nor surgery that can just take it away. It’s a lifelong condition. An app cannot cause neurological disorders or mental illnesses, instead it can make it worse, but it doesn’t cause it in general. She’s professionally diagnosed with it, so it doesn’t lower any probability, she’s DIAGNOSED, accept it. I’m not a simp, I’m just respectful. Maybe you should try it. I didn’t make anyone rich, that was Anita herself who did that. She created the fame for herself and that’s not a bad thing. She only tries to spread awareness and make the best out of things. It’s sad how you think you have any right to make a comment on her disability when you probably don’t experience it yourself, or you probably aren’t a doctor, specifically her doctor.

You don’t get it. You really do not get it. As a person with an eating disorder, it’s not always because of the way they view themselves. Eating disorders can be caused by bullying, body dysphoria, etc. but with anorexia nervosa, or bulimia, it can be caused by you hating yourself and your body, and thinking you’re too big or aren’t skinny enough, or you start struggling with body image problems. People with anorexia see themselves as overweight, and tend to monitor their weight, but it can get to this horrible point where they start starving themselves to hopefully change their body and the way they look. You can’t get mad at them for something they can’t control. People with EDs know that they’re struggling and sometimes, that struggle starts to visibly show (for example: getting skinner, much much skinner), but it’s very hard for them to get better without some sort of treatment. I’m not understanding why you’re frustrated that others are starving when people with eating disorders (not all eating disorders, some are binge eating or something else) are also starving. They’re apart of that group that’s struggling and starving as well, they’re just mentally unstable. It’s the same exact thing, just different. Purposely starving yourself is a HUGE issue, so treat it like one. Don’t try and guilt trip people with this sort of eating disorder just because you don’t understand it.

@leepopaz253 Okay..and? Tourette syndrome still is not demonic in any way, so stop spreading false information. I’m a Christian who has Tourette syndrome, and you don’t know how irritating it is to hear that the disorder you have is demonic. IT. IS. A. NEUROLOGICAL. DISORDER. It involves the brain, not demons. Why wouldn’t I believe scientists , professionals, and neurologists who know way more than you do? I mean, unless you can show me a page in the Bible where it says tics are demonic, or disorders are demonic, I don’t wanna hear it, because that’s not proven at all, is it? You’re basing your “facts” off of rumors, when Tourette syndrome is scientifically proven to have something to do with the brain, which makes it neurological. Grow up.
1
-
@leepopaz253 Because you’re literally spreading false information. How dare YOU say a neurological disorder is demonic without doing any research about it? I don’t care if you’re an “deliverance minister”, that literally has nothing to do with anything. I’ve had my experiences with apparent “demons”, which was just me hallucinating. You are the only one spreading false information, hypocrite 😐 You aren’t speaking any truths honey, you’re just delusional and you clearly didn’t do your research on Tourettes, because it’s scientifically proven to not be demonic, yet you’re still calling it demonic and backing that up by saying you’re a deliverance minister as if I care. Im not lying about anything, im literally a Christian, you can’t tell me what Im not or what I am. Just because I know the truth about my OWN disorder does not make me any less of a Christian, that makes me educated. Do you want me to link the scientific facts about how it’s not demonic at this point, because it’s getting pretty embarrassing for you. Im not gonna agree with somebody who’s delusional, im not gonna agree with false information, that’s not how I am. I don’t have any demons in me, you don’t even know me.
1
-
@leepopaz253 “how dare you say stop spreading false info”..Because you’re spreading false information, lemme help you out since you don’t get it though. 1) Tourette syndrome is not associated with demon-possession or epilepsy and should not be confused with either (proven), 2) The exact cause of Tourette syndrome isn't known. It's a complex disorder likely caused by a combination of inherited (genetic) and environmental factors. Chemicals in the brain that transmit nerve impulses (neurotransmitters), including dopamine and serotonin, might play a role (medically proven). 3) (from my personal own experience), I’ve talked to professionals about this, it’s not linked to anything demonic, or anything you’ve been saying so far. You’re wrong, you literally cannot argue against science, because the scientific proof behind it doesn’t change just because of how you think. Please, educate yourself. People with TS are not possessed by demons.

@Cary Coller me? I’m literally black, and she’s also mixed. I understand that black people take great offense to that, and she understands that as well, she’s made an entire video explaining that sort of tic and everything. I get offended by that word as well, but that’s not something that she can control, that’s not even her fault. I’m 100% promising YOU, that she knows how to suppress certain tics, and she’ll find a way to explain why she said what she said, plus, again like I said, she’s mixed (white and black, so basically biracial). Again, like I also said earlier, it’s not an excuse, it’s a reasoning, she literally cannot control it, and even SOME children understand that, so why can’t GROWN adults understand the concept of Tourette syndrome? It’s not a pass, are you serious rn? She doesn’t willingly want to say it. How is she 100% wrong when she can’t control it? That had to be the part that made me furious, you can’t blame someone who’s deaf for not hearing you say something, right? It’s the same thing here, except you can’t blame her for something she can’t control because tics are uncontrollable and involuntary. I’m black and I’m telling YOU, as a person with TS, what I know. Many people get offended by that word (including me), I understand, but you literally cannot tell me someone would get offended by her saying something as offensive as that when she can’t control it. They’re ignorant and so are you honestly. If you think hurting someone with TS just because they said something offensive is okay, you need to do research on tics, please and thank you. I doubt that she says the word often as a tic since she has some control over her tics in the best way she can. I didn’t say that you doubted that she had Tourettes, im saying you’re wrong and your explanation sounds pretty ableist. Not everyone has to believe her, if that’s the case, don’t be around her.

@obscureinternet7506 It always amazes me how rude people are to others with DID or other disorders in general just because they’re “skeptical” about it. You do realize that nobody cares if it’s apart of what they see, because that’s not the point? And it’s not our fault if others are influenced by the internet or YouTube, that’s more of the parents fault for not monitoring their devices. If you’re so young that you copy others and don’t know it’s wrong, then you need to get off the internet. DID is not a new age disorder, but okay. People on the internet with DID shouldn’t be blamed for others decisions, that’s their choice and their fault. Again, if you’re young enough to copy others and you don’t know it’s wrong, then get off the internet . And posting about her disorder and trying to spread awareness about it is not profiting off of it. Making money is a good thing, but you can’t blame her for others being influenced, again, that’s their decision, and they need to get off the internet, but that’s not profiting. Personally, I watch others with DID/ or Kya in general because of their channel, it’s very educational and somewhat helped me learn more about DID.

@tristandimitrijev3195 what? 💀 she literally is mixed with black though. Her mom is white and her dad is black, which makes her mixed, now she may not appear to be mixed, but that doesn’t mean she isn’t. That would be called white passing, or pale, but she is half black. Her life was hard growing up due to her Tourettes, but that’s all she’s discussed, therefore we have no right to assume she went through some sort of abuse of anything. That’s just beyond embarrassing, and honestly you’re trying to pin a story against her that could literally be false, which it is. I don’t feel the need to bully anyone, im simply correcting you. Why do you feel the need to call her fully white and try to claim she must’ve been abused as a younger child? Makes no sense buddy. You’re assuming things that aren’t true.

She has Coprolalia, which makes tics inappropriate or violent, correct, and actually she DOES say those things during live streaming, there’s many compilations of her inappropriate/violent tics, you’d just need to search to find them. She doesn’t need to use fillers, and everyone in this world is different, so I don’t see why that matters. She doesn’t have EXTREME control over her speech, I’d say she has control over her speech to a certain extent, it’s not always easy to suppress tics. I don’t actually think she had a career before streaming, since streaming is the easiest job she could have, so I think streaming has been her official job since around..2018? She picked streaming because it’s the EASIEST job for a person who has a disability or a disorder. Nothing seems fishy about anything
