  13. Firstly, False equivalency. The U.S never owned Cuba, to then loose it, which would have Cuba constantly paranoid of a U.S invasion to reclaim it for national glory. Secondly this deal offer’s literally nothing to Ukraine. They have to give up a huge amount of territory, and then have Russia dictate that they cannot join NATO. Which opens them up to future attacks and further loss of territory. Next time Putin might just decide to push for the whole country.
