  1. I'm 32 from the UK. Growing up in the late 80's i had a golly wog doll. Called him Sam and i took him everywhere i went. It's mad to think the connotation behind that childhood toy. Never saw him as the representation of a black person though. And yes they were on marmalade tins i can clearly remember seeing them all the time.

  15.  @minmax5  It’s not really a social construct because it comes from the very real phenomena of biological sex. It’s only very recently that the concept of gender has become some sort of personal perception and identity. That’s because we gender literally everything from behaviours to inanimate objects. Toy cars are for boys and Dolls are for girls etc. But a masculine acting tomboy is still a female. Gender expression you could argue is a social construct.

  17. Have seen some of these mexican cartel killing videos. They are truly horrific, so much so that I find it hard to fathom how someone could be that cold. This isn't shooting someone it's torturing them and dismembering. Like how do the screams of pain not trigger that natural empathy response. How can humans be that low?? It really is unimaginable.
