@davidflint7507 I love how the first comment paints the guy as a saint protecting his elderly mother, beaten by the police for no reason, and everyone flat out believes it. Then when you say the male was actually being incredibly violent and there’s more to the story, everyone scolds you and says “where’s the evidence”. The policeman lost control in anger, he did wrong, but I highly doubt he hadn’t been provoked and attacked.

@CosmikDebriis It’s easy to pass judgment from the sidelines when you’re not faced with an extremely aggressive person. Someone who has assaulted you and your female colleagues. And will not comply and calm down. The policeman absolutely did wrong, but he was obviously seriously provoked. I think sacked is over the top if what I’ve heard is true.

@keifer7813 I agree it was unprofessional, but it’s easy to pass judgement when you’re safely sat on your computer, not having to deal with being assaulted by an extremely aggressive person. He lost his temper in the heat of the moment.

@keifer7813 It’s not making excuses, it’s being realistic. I already said he shouldn’t of done it. But don’t pretend you’d be cool as a cucumber if you were him, and you and your female colleagues were assaulted whilst trying to restrain a violent individual.
3
@keifer7813 What training would stop you from a momentary flash of anger after being attacked and your female colleagues being attacked also??
3
@keifer7813 Clever boy. They can train you about certain situations but I don’t think any training can prevent a sudden flash of anger. He lost it, on a human level it’s understandable considering it’s been said the guy attacked. Not that I think he should of done it. Don’t think he should be sacked though if it was provoked through assault on him and fellow officers, but definitely disciplined.
3
@keifer7813 You’re acting as if I’ve said the officer was fully justified in what he did. I never said he didn’t do wrong. Just that considering the fact he and colleagues had been assaulted and the man was violently resisting arrest, should be a consideration. He should be disciplined, not sacked.
3
@brendanpmaclean I agree the policeman did wrong. But it’s highly unlikely what the first comment described is true. He was most likely assaulted and lost control of his temper. And it’s easy to pass judgment from the sidelines when you’re not the one having to deal with an extremely aggressive attack.

@brendanpmaclean And what environment is that then?? Comparable to this?? As I said, he did wrong. But you have to consider other factors and the overall situation. If the man violently assaulted his female colleagues and him, whilst being uncontrollable and aggressive, and after repeatedly trying to subdue him, he was still trying to attack, you can see how a person could temporarily lose control of their emotions.
2
Everyone assuming this man was calmly complying and the Police just started beating him for no reason. Typical mentality of LBC, police are all brutal thugs and minorities couldn’t possibly have done anything to provoke such a reaction. The policeman did wrong, but what factors lead to this??
2
@keifer7813 He shouldn’t of kicked him I agree. But looking at the circumstances, it’s not surprising he would be fuming and have a flash of anger, if he and his colleagues were attacked. Also the guy was still fighting and trying to get up.
2
@keifer7813 Yeah?? My conclusion is, the officer was dealing with a violent person who assaulted him and his colleagues. As he was trying to continue resisting, the officer, wrongly lost control and did what he did. In an attempt to subdue him by knocking him out I’m guessing. Under the circumstances, the high level of stress and danger is a considerable mitigating factor for a disciplinary.

@ehsanalhaq8917 Yeah, that sounds like hogwash.

@keifer7813 Well if the guy begrudgingly complied but was thrown to the ground and booted anyway…
1
@supersurfer1 err the police report of the incident
1
@supersurfer1 look it up smooth brain
1
@keifer7813 don’t tell me what I would claim in a hypothetical. If he complied in the first place, it would be a sackable offence
1
@supersurfer1 Yes numpty 😂 they have a website
1
@supersurfer1 Bro why are you even responding?? Anything I say, you just reply with “oh must be true lol”. The police have told their side of the incident. Cry harder 😂
1
@chiamakao8560 Yes, an officer who made a mistake whilst dealing with an extremely violent individual
1
