To claim birthright citizenship you must have at least one citizen parent to make a citizenship claim. If both parents broke into our country and are illegal, the kid is illegal too. Read the law.

@KarenBurton-o8k Funny how you missed the part where it says "Under jurisdiction of the United states". Illegal parents are not under that jurisdiction. Thats why a citized or naturalized citizen must be a parent.

@josedelnegro46 Read the law like I did. You must have at least 1 citizen Parent to claim birthright citizenship. It means you were born to an American citizen or naturalized citizen.
