  2. In my town they test the hydrants twice a year. They open them up and flush them out. Wevhad a massive fire back in the 70's and we were rural. Luckily we had a stream they could fill fire trucks from as wevhad no hydrants close to us. We had firemen on our roof saving our house, God bless them.
